Aterno Black Pendant Light

The matte-black version of our Aterno pendant — same slim cylindrical form, same integrated warm-white LED, but in a powder-coated matte black finish that suits darker palettes and modern Japandi interiors.

Common questions

Should I choose brass or black?

Brass suits warmer rooms (cream linen, oak, terracotta). Black suits cooler/modern rooms (charcoal joinery, dark walnut, white walls). Both work in neutral Scandi schemes — choose by what else is in the room.

Does it use a bulb or built-in LED?

Built-in LED in warm white (2700–3000K). No bulb required, no replacement needed for the lifetime of the fixture.

Will the black show fingerprints or dust?

It's powder-coated matte — resists prints better than gloss black. Occasional dust with a soft dry cloth keeps it pristine.

Can I install it over a kitchen island?

Yes — this is the classic use. Mount with the bottom of the pendant 70–85cm above the worktop. Three in a row above a long island, spaced evenly.

Is it dimmable?

With a compatible LED dimmer switch wired during install. Confirm with your electrician.
