Common Questions

How many decorations do I need for my tree?
As a rough guide, allow around 10-15 decorations per 30cm of tree height for a full look, or about half that for a pared-back Scandi style. Packs of small wooden stars and hearts are an easy way to build a base.
Are ceramic decorations heavy for the branches?
Our ceramic ornaments are small and light enough for a real or good-quality artificial tree. Hang larger pieces closer to the trunk, where the branches are strongest.
How should I store wooden and ceramic decorations?
Wrap ceramic pieces individually in tissue and keep wooden decorations somewhere dry. Packs that come in wooden boxes can be stored straight back in them.
About christmas tree decorations

Christmas tree decorations in natural wood, ceramic, wicker and rattan — Nordic bells, hand-turned wooden ornaments, whitewashed angels and stars, and gentle ceramic Santas and snowmen.

Building a Scandi tree

A Scandinavian tree is about texture and restraint rather than colour. Start with a generous base of small wooden stars and hearts spread evenly through the branches, then add a handful of larger statement pieces — a rattan bauble, a ceramic bell, a whitewashed angel — towards the front. Finish with Nordic bells near the tips, where they catch the light.

Beyond the tree

Hanging decorations work just as well away from the tree. Tie a wicker bell to a door handle, hang a whitewashed star in a window, thread wooden hearts along a mantel garland, or hang a few ceramic ornaments from a vase of bare branches for a simple alternative tree.
