Why marble or slate

Both materials have natural cooling properties (a small detail that helps a glass of wine on a summer table) and develop a soft patina with use rather than scratching like wood or peeling like cork. Each piece is naturally veined, so no two coasters in a set are identical.

Where they earn their place

Care

Wipe clean with a damp cloth. Avoid acidic cleaners on stone. Marble can show light water marks; these wipe off with a soft cloth and a tiny amount of mild soap.
