About round wall mirrors
Round wall mirrors — the most quietly versatile shape in any home. A circle softens a wall of straight lines and adds a moment of visual rest above a console, basin or fireplace.
Why round
Most rooms are full of right angles: doorframes, windows, furniture edges, picture frames. A round mirror is the visual counterweight. It draws the eye, softens the geometry, and feels considered without trying.
Where they belong
Above a console table in an entryway. Above a basin in a bathroom (round above a rectangular vanity is a classic Scandi pairing). Above a fireplace as the central architectural piece. In a bedroom, above a chest of drawers or floating beside a window.
Sizing
For a console or vanity, choose a mirror two-thirds the width of the surface beneath. For a fireplace, the mirror should sit centred above the mantel with 15–25cm clearance. For a feature wall, go large — a 90–120cm round mirror reads as a sculptural moment.
