About stone vases uk
Stone vases shaped from travertine, limestone and alabaster — pieces with real weight and natural veining. Each one is unique because the stone is.
The materials
Travertine forms in mineral springs over thousands of years, leaving a soft banded grain that runs through every cut. Limestone is denser, warmer in tone and often honed to a soft matte finish. Alabaster is translucent and prized for lamp bases, but used as a vase it carries an unusual softness in the surface.
Sized to suit
A small stone bud vase (10–18cm) on a bedside or shelf, paired with a single dried stem, is one of the easiest ways to bring weight and quietness to a room. A medium vase (20–35cm) on a sideboard or coffee table holds a fuller seasonal arrangement. A floor vase (45cm+) is a sculptural moment in its own right — a single tall branch is all it needs.
Caring for stone
Stone is porous. Use the included water liner or a glass insert to hold fresh stems — water can stain unsealed stone. Dust with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid acidic cleaners.
