About brass candle holders

Brass candle holders — slim taper holders, low pillar plates, and small clusters that catch and warm the light of a candle in a way nothing else does.

The case for brass

Brass is the warmest of metals — it picks up the orange-yellow flicker of a candle and amplifies it into a room. Unlike chrome or polished steel, brass develops a soft patina with age and handling: the surface shifts from bright to mellow over months and years. It belongs in a Scandi home alongside wood, linen and stone.

Pairing

Three taper-style brass candle holders down the centre of a dining table, varying heights, reading as a low golden line. A single brass dinner-candle holder beside a stoneware jug on a bedside. A small cluster of brass tealight holders on a stone tray for a compressed candle moment.

Care

If you want to keep brass bright, polish gently with a brass cleaner every few months. If you prefer it patina'd (we do), simply wipe with a soft cloth — the metal will mellow on its own.
